The WHO estimated a 1.1% HIV prevalence in Liberia in 2020, affecting adults aged 15-49, with about 35,000 people infected. Difficulties arise from weak prevention, inadequate testing, and a lack of awareness among many people about their status, as well as low availability of viral load testing. Despite advancements, achieving UNAIDS goals, such as the 95-95-95 target by 2030, is hampered by these and additional programmatic and health system obstacles .
